Elton John is "The Rocket Man" and it was his first ever solo concert tour of Australia.

Sir Elton performed under the stars to about 10000 fans, on stage, just Elton John and a piano, the audience experienced the whole breadth of his composing talent, listening to hit song after hit song from 35 years at the top of the charts.

The Elysian polo fields looked a picture, a convoy of 30 trucks had transformed the Elysian Fields into a world-class concert arena, including a customised dressing room for Sir Elton.

It may be cool to be fashionably late, but Sir Elton surprised his fans off guard when his concert, called A Knight Under the Stars, began 10 minutes early. Many people were still parking their cars or queuing for a beer and hotdog when Sir Elton opened the gig with Your Song.
